is it also plausible to find the sum of the heights of both groups, and then solve for the gap? or is that likely to be too slow?
sum of M+A height = 42
Sum of O, E, K= 150
sum of all = 279
sum of everybody except R = 234
279-234 = 45?

That's a perfectly valid solution. In fact, it's very similar to the first approach I used in the video.
