Comment on Exponential Growth

On the fourth reinforcement activity, Quantity A would be positive because of the property that states "an even exponent would always yield a positive result (as long as the base is not equal to zero." However wouldn't Quantity B also be positive because of the property that states "odd exponent preserves the sign of the base" - which in the problem is positive? Please let me know what I am missing!

Be careful, the base (x) is NOT positive.
If -(x³) = 64, then we can also conclude that x³ = -64
If x³ = -64, then it must be the case that x = -4
