The challenge with 2 & 3 blank type qtns is that once you are sure of 2 correct options and do not know the 3rd or guess it wrong, you lose the entire mark. This is frustrating for me as I practice because often I correctly have 2 out of 3 correct.

Agreed! I've always thought that test-takers should receive some sort of score boost for getting 2/3 correct.

Yes, they should. I first took the GRE in 2006 and scored a 1320 out of 1600, which wasn't bad. Nowadays, I'm finding the "new" GRE to be harder. Even though they don't consider scores over 5 years old to be acceptable, I'll still tell schools about my earlier score anyway if the new GRE score is low.
